Got to give it five stars because its one of the last "real" burger joints! Associated with the taxi industry and offers a friendly service all day / night with (not so healthy but delicious) burgers. Lots of taxi drivers stop here to eat / chat / socialise. Has a very relaxed feel with no pretensions but good honest service.

Cult classic cafe located right on the edge of the Melbourne CBD. A real old school cafe, very nostalgic with pretty decent food and affordable and fair prices. One of the only few classic places left in metro Melb. A bit annoying they don't take card but there's an atm outside. Def recommend this place if you're after a good solid feed and great service!

True words from Lara Dykun on her Embassy Cafe experience tonight (I’m posting on her behalf) 🫡 “This evening I headed to the cult institution - Embassy Cafe. I ordered a classic set - a burger with the lot (plus beetroot), a steamed dim sim and a can of coke. The dim sim was a perfect starter - fresh out of the steamer with plenty of soy sauce. The burger was tasty, the kind of burger you’d get in a country town. Nothing fancy, no fuss, but full of flavour. Washed down with a can of coke. No matter what time, it’s always a hit. The hot plate never stops.” CA$H ONLY

Today, I had the pleasure of indulging in one of the most exquisite culinary experiences that left an indelible mark on my palate. The cat at The Embassy is an expertly crafted creation, with a perfectly balanced flavor profile and a superb texture. Whether fried or steamed, each version offers a unique and delicious experience. The fried cat was a revelation. Its delicate, flaky, crispy exterior reminded me of an expertly crafted pastry from a Parisian patisserie. The crunch was just right, giving way to a rich, flavorful filling of tender meat and fresh cabbage. It was a symphony of textures and tastes, each bite more satisfying than the last. The steamed cat, on the other hand, was equally impressive. It was soft, supple, and had an exquisite mouthfeel. Each bite was like floating on a cloud in paradise, with the filling's flavors melding beautifully with the soft wrapper. It was comforting and indulgent, a true testament to the skill of The Embassy's chefs. In terms of presentation, both versions were fantastic. The fried cat had a golden, inviting appearance, while the steamed cat looked delicate and appetizing. Both were served with care and attention to detail, enhancing the overall dining experience. In conclusion, the cat at The Embassy is a must-try. Its expertly balanced flavors, perfect textures, and impeccable presentation make it one of the best I've ever tasted. Whether you choose fried or steamed, you're in for a delightful treat that will leave you craving more.

Stepping into Embassy Cafe felt like a delightful trip back to my childhood. The ambiance is charmingly nostalgic, and the food is simply superb. I devoured a delicious hamburger and milkshake, which were both exceptional. The burger was perfectly juicy and flavorful, while the milkshake was rich and creamy, just like I remember from my younger days. Highly recommend for anyone looking to relive the best parts of their past or simply enjoy some fantastic comfort food.
